There was plenty to see and do at the Tenterden Kent & East Sussex Railway last weekend, focusing on the past and celebrating all that was great and good from this fascinating wartime period. 

Last Saturday on the 6th April St Mildred's Church was bursting at the seams !  Beatlemantia night was a fabulous success and enormous fun. With more tickets sold than ever before, the third 'Make Your Voice Count' was a record breaker. All profits will go towards a third van for The Pilgrim's Hospices   

BEATLEMANIA - MAKE YOUR VOICE COUNT 3  Saturday 6th April 7.30pm St Mildred's Church Tenterden  THE   R O CKITS   are  Tenterden's original Rock & Pop Choir.  Founded  in 2008, and originally known as The Tuesdays, the group has since raised many thousands of pounds for local charities.

 As a wine lover I was keen to visit Chapel Down our local well known Vineyard and I must say I was pleasantly surprised   The deluxe tour of started at 12.30pm with a glass of their sparkling followed by a glass of their signature white – flint dry and a glass of pinot noir accompanied by a delicious  three course meal celebrating local produce...

Only about half an hour's drive from Tenterden, take a stroll along Whitstable's stunning pebble beach and you will find its famous reputation for seafood from oyster bars to local restaurants serving delicious local fare.
