If convenience is at the top of your list, then this house should be the top of your viewing list too! Walk to the station, the town centre, Ashford college, the designer outlet, Elwick Place and Victoria Park in just a matter of minutes! Not to mention the convenience of being able to pull up on your own drive outside the front door either!
The current owners have really improved this home, and in such a lovingly fashion too. Its no secret houses of this era tend to have their own secrets, hidden gems, and in this example that is no exception! From the front you may think its just a typical three-bedroom house of its age, but once the front door opens you are sure to be blown away by the finer details. The first thing you'll notice is the solid oak flooring, running throughout the ground floor and the upstairs too. Completely white walls and ceilings compliment the handsome brick feature wall of the dining room. Beyond is the modern kitchen which has been updated and now features built-in Bosch appliances (electric oven, induction hob & dishwasher). Further on from the kitchen is the family bathroom, which too has been updated and features a four-piece suite with walk-in shower, bath, wc and wash basin with vanity and storage too. The walls and floor have been tiled from top to bottom and side to side, so should any alterations be required it would be a straight forward change.
Head upstairs and you'll find three generously proportioned bedrooms. The first bedroom at the top of the stairs is in fact the smallest, yet measuring in at 10ft x 8ft its not small by any means! There is an en-suite WC to this bedroom, which with some clever thinking, could be re-configured into an en-suite shower room.
The other two bedrooms are larger as they benefit from a wider footprint to the downstairs as the house benefits from the flying freehold above the walk-through beneath which provides access into the garden.
Head outside to the garden, measuring approx. 100ft and the first thing you will notice is how private this space is. You really cannot see any of your neighbours and the last thing on your mind is a feeling of being so close to everything. You'd be forgiven for thinking you were in a village! You'll also appreciate how quiet it is, there's no road or train noise and certainly no feeling of being so close to the town centre. The garden features a BBQ seating area, a pathway which leads to the bottom of the garden where the shed is located, and a large lawn. The side return of the house is useful for storing items and also has the gate which leads to the walk-though for access back to the front (both gates are lock-able for security).
Parking is available in the way of a drive to the front of the house (officially there is no dropped kerb so we would advise an application is made to the local council for this). Further parking is available on the street (unrestricted) but is only to the one side of the road, which is narrow. There is further parking available on neighbouring streets (also unrestricted).
LOCATION Living so close to the Town Centre certainly has its perks. There is so much on your doorstep you need not worry about getting the car out if you want to pop to the shops.
You can walk into the high street or the County Square shopping centre within around 20 minutes. If you need access to the International Station that too is within easy reach, around 10 minutes on foot. The recently opened Elwick Place and Ashford College are also close-by, as is the Designer Outlet which is only a 7 minute walk away!
If you do need to take the car out and need Motorway access, junction 9 of the M20 is only 9 minutes away!
